બી.કોમ. સાથે સી.એ. કરનાર એમ.કોમ.ની સમકક્ષ
વીર નર્મદ દક્ષિણ ગુજરાત યુનિર્વિસટીએ પંદર વર્ષ બાદ આખરે બી.કોમ. સાથે સી.એ. કરનાર વિદ્યાર્થીઓને એમ.કોમ.ને સમકક્ષ ગણવાનો મહત્વનો ઠરાવ કર્યો છે. ઈન્સ્ટિટયૂટ ઓફ ચાર્ટર્ડ એકાઉન્ટ્સ ઓફ ઈન્ડિયા દ્વારા પંદર વર્ષ પૂર્વે આ નિર્ણય લેવાયો હતો. જેનો દેશની ટોચની આઈઆઈએમ અને આઈઆઈટી દ્વારા પણ અમલ કરાયો હતો, પરંતુ નર્મદ યુનિર્વિસટીના સત્તાધીશો દ્વારા આ બાબતને સ્વીકારાઈ ન હતી. જે આખરે સ્વીકારાઇ જતા વિધાર્થીઓમા ખુશીની લહેર જોવા મળી હતી.
સી.એ.ની સેન્ટ્રલ કાઉન્સિલના સભ્યએ કાઉન્સિલમાં અનેક યુનિર્વિસટીઓ સી.એ.ને માન્યતા આપતી નહીં હોવાનો મુદ્દો ઉપસ્થિત કર્યો હતો અને પોતાના વિસ્તારની યુનિર્વિસટીમાં જ આ બાબતમાં વિદ્યાર્થીઓને અન્યાય થઈ રહ્યો હોવાની રજૂઆત કરતા કાઉન્સિલે યુનિર્વિસટીને પત્ર લખ્યો હતો. જેને આધારે એ.સી.માં ઠરાવ થયો હતો. આ વિદ્યાર્થીઓએ જો સી.એ.માં ૫૫ ટકા ગુણ મેળવ્યા હોય તો તેઓ પીએચ.ડી. કે એમ.ફિલ. માટે પણ ઉમેદવારી કરી સંશોધન ક્ષેત્રે પોતાની કારકિર્દી આગળ વધારી શકશે.
આ ઉપરાંત ધો. ૧૦ બાદ આઈટીઆઈ કરનાર વિદ્યાર્થીઓ જો ફકત ધો. ૧૨ અંગ્રેજીની પરીક્ષા પાસ કરશે તો તેઓ પણ કોલેજ પ્રવેશ માટે લાયક ગણાશે એ બાબતનો પણ સ્વીકાર કરાયો હતો. સાથે જ જીટીયુના અસ્તિત્વ પૂર્વે નર્મદ યુનિર્વિસટીમાં એન્જિનિયરિંગ કરી રહેલા વિદ્યાર્થીઓ પૈકી જેઓ ઈન્ટરનલમાં નાપાસ કરાયા છે તેમના માર્ક પણ પ્રોરેટા મુજબ ગણીને આવા વિદ્યાર્થીઓને ગ્રેસિંગ માર્ક આપવાનો ઠરાવ કરાયો હતો. આ વિદ્યાર્થીઓની સંખ્યા પણ ખૂબ મોટી છે ત્યારે વર્ષો બાદ આ વિદ્યાર્થીઓનો લોટ પણ નર્મદ યુનિર્વિસટીમાંથી બહાર નીકળી શકશે અને પોતાની ડિગ્રી મેળવી શકશે. આ મહત્વના નિર્ણય લઇને વિદ્યાર્થીઓના ચહેરા પર ખુશીની લહેર જોવા મળી હતી.
